EVM-Constrained and Mask-Compliant MIMO-OFDM Spectral Precoding

Spectral precoding is a promising technique to suppress out-of-band emissions and comply with leakage constraints over adjacent frequency channels mask requirements on the unwanted emissions. However, spectral may distort original data vector, which formally expressed as error vector magnitude (EVM) between precoded vectors. Notably, EVM has deleterious impact performance of multiple-input multiple-output orthogonal division multiplexing-based systems. In this paper we propose novel approach constrains while complying requirements. We first formulate solve EVM-unconstrained mask-compliant problem, serves springboard design two EVM-constrained schemes. The scheme takes into account wideband EVM-constraint limits average in-band distortion. second frequency-selective EVM-constraints, consequently, signal distortion at subcarrier level. Numerical examples illustrate that both proposed schemes outperform previously developed in terms important indicators such block rate system-wide throughput constraints.
